Post - Casual Employment Contracts

Casual Employment Contracts include characteristics such as:

·             Commencement date;

·             Position title and responsibilities;

·             Warranties;

·             Pay rates and entitlements;

·             Casual conversion;

·             Termination of employment;

·             Confidential information;

·             Intellectual property; and

·             Policies and procedures.

Although casual employees do not necessarily require a formal Employment Contract, it is considered best practice and highly recommended to issue a Contract as it outlines the terms and conditions for both parties.

Additionally, Casual Employment Contracts set expectations for performance, conduct and foster accountability.
